CareerWorth (“CareerWorth,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, processed, and shared when you visit CareerWorth.io or use CareerWorth products and services.

Our approach to privacy is simple: CareerWorth seeks to collect only the information reasonably necessary to provide and improve the experience. We do not sell your career information.

By using CareerWorth, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information You Provide to CareerWorth

CareerWorth allows users to provide information to explore careers, evaluate job offers, receive personalized career intelligence, and use other CareerWorth features.

Depending on the feature you use, this information may include your occupation or job title, geographic location, compensation or job-offer details, benefits information, work history, career progression, education, credentials, industry experience, skills, career interests, career preferences, résumé content you choose to upload, and responses to questions presented within CareerWorth.

Résumé-assisted entry extracts career-relevant details to populate fields for your review. You are responsible for reviewing and confirming those details before they are used in a paid assessment or report.

CareerWorth is designed to provide its core consumer experiences without requiring users to create a CareerWorth account.

Please do not provide information that CareerWorth does not request or need to provide its services. In particular, please do not enter Social Security numbers, financial-account credentials, passwords, government identification numbers, medical information, or other highly sensitive personal information.

1A. My CareerWorth Accounts and Profiles

If you choose to create a My CareerWorth account, CareerWorth may store the career-profile information you provide or confirm, including employment history, job titles, occupation benchmarks, experience, skills, education, credentials, industry experience, compensation you voluntarily provide, geographic preferences, career interests, modeled career relationships, scores, estimates and report history.

Your CareerWorth Profile uses a persistent identifier that is separate from your email address. Purchased reports may be saved to your profile only after you sign in and choose to save them. Individual profiles remain separate from enterprise and referral-partner accounts; purchasing or sponsoring a report does not give a partner access to the individual’s full profile.

CareerWorth records the source and date of certain profile information and may record the methodology version used for derived information. Historical reports remain snapshots and are not rewritten when later methodologies or labor-market evidence change.

1B. Résumé Processing

When you upload a résumé, CareerWorth may transmit it to a service provider to extract career-relevant information. Extracted information is presented for your review and correction and is not treated as verified merely because it was extracted automatically.

CareerWorth seeks to retain the structured information you confirm rather than relying on the original résumé document for future calculations. Where the product indicates that the original upload is not retained, the document is processed transiently and is not kept as the ongoing source of your profile.

1C. CareerWorth-Derived Information and Report History

CareerWorth may generate scores, estimated market ranges, career relationships, mobility classifications, market strengths, gaps and other derived information from user-provided information and labor-market evidence. These are estimates and decision-support outputs, not verified employment records or guaranteed outcomes.

If you save a purchased report to My CareerWorth, CareerWorth retains the report and associated structured information in your private report history until you remove your account or retention is otherwise required by law.

2. Information Collected Automatically

CareerWorth uses Google Analytics 4 for public website traffic measurement, alongside existing product analytics. Google Analytics may use cookies and receive technical information such as browser and device details, approximate location, and public page-view activity. CareerWorth’s custom page-view tracking removes query strings and fragments, uses page-based titles, and excludes account dashboards, sign-in routes, report pages, and owner internal-report sessions. It does not send assessment answers, résumé contents, customer names, or email addresses as custom analytics fields. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals disable this Google Analytics integration. Learn about Google’s use of information from partner sites.

When you visit CareerWorth.io, certain technical and usage information may be collected automatically by CareerWorth or the technology providers we use to operate the service.

Depending on the technologies and settings in use, this information may include browser and device information, approximate geographic information, referral source, pages viewed, interactions with CareerWorth features, session information, and similar website or product-usage information.

We use this information to operate CareerWorth, understand how people discover and use the service, identify technical problems, improve the user experience, and evaluate product performance.

3. Analytics

CareerWorth currently uses PostHog to help us understand website usage and product interactions.

Analytics may help CareerWorth understand information such as which pages and features are used, how users move through CareerWorth, where visitors came from, whether features function properly, and where users leave an experience.

Depending on CareerWorth's configuration and the technologies involved, analytics services may use cookies, local storage, device or network information, or similar technologies.

CareerWorth uses analytics to operate and improve its products and understand their performance. CareerWorth does not sell individual users' career information.

4. Payments

CareerWorth uses Stripe to process payments for paid CareerWorth products.

When you make a purchase, Stripe may collect and process information necessary to complete the transaction, which may include payment-card information, billing information, email address, transaction information, device or network information, and information used for fraud prevention or payment security.

CareerWorth does not need to directly receive or store your complete payment-card information.

Information processed by Stripe is also subject to Stripe's applicable privacy practices and terms.

5. Referral Partner Program

Referral partner applicants provide contact and professional information for application review, account access, referral attribution, and commission administration. Approved partners receive a unique referral code.

When a purchaser voluntarily uses a referral code, CareerWorth shares the purchaser's name, report product, purchase date, and commission status with that referral partner for internal validation. CareerWorth does not share questionnaire answers, résumé content, compensation information, generated reports, recommendations, email addresses, or payment details with referral partners.

6. Enterprise Partner Accounts and Sponsored Reports

Enterprise partner administrators provide their name, work email address, organization name, and transaction information to create and operate an account. CareerWorth uses passwordless email links and secure browser sessions to authenticate these administrators.

When a person redeems an organization-sponsored report credit, CareerWorth shares that person's name, the report product used, and the redemption date with the sponsoring organization for program administration and internal validation. CareerWorth does not share the participant's questionnaire responses, résumé, compensation information, generated report, or recommendations with the sponsoring organization.

Before redeeming a sponsored credit, the participant is shown this disclosure and chooses whether to proceed. Organizations are responsible for using redemption information appropriately and in accordance with applicable law.

7. Artificial Intelligence

Certain CareerWorth features use artificial intelligence services, including technology provided by OpenAI, to support personalized career analysis, explanations, recommendations, and other CareerWorth functionality.

Sam, the CareerWorth Navigator, uses artificial intelligence to process the messages you choose to submit along with limited page context so it can answer questions and suggest relevant CareerWorth tools. CareerWorth records operational events such as question category, recommendations shown, and link selections, but does not retain the text of Sam conversations in its own analytics database.

When you use an AI-powered feature, information reasonably necessary to generate the requested analysis may be transmitted to and processed by the applicable AI service provider.

CareerWorth seeks to limit information transmitted to third-party providers to information reasonably necessary to provide the relevant functionality.

Because CareerWorth does not need highly sensitive personal information to provide its career-intelligence services, users should not enter Social Security numbers, financial-account credentials, passwords, medical information, government identification numbers, or other highly sensitive information into CareerWorth.

8. How We Use Information

CareerWorth may use information collected through the service to:

• Provide and personalize CareerWorth experiences, including career exploration and job-offer analysis;
• Generate career intelligence, comparisons, reports, recommendations, and other requested outputs;
• Process purchases and transactions;
• Operate, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve CareerWorth;
• Understand how users discover and interact with CareerWorth;
• Evaluate product performance and user experience;
• Detect or prevent fraud, abuse, security threats, and technical problems;
• Communicate with users where appropriate;
• Maintain appropriate business and transaction records; and
• Comply with applicable legal obligations.

CareerWorth may use aggregated or de-identified profile and outcome information to improve methodologies, products, benchmarking and research only where the user has provided the applicable separate permission. Users can change this preference in My CareerWorth settings. CareerWorth does not describe information as anonymous unless the technical process supports that characterization. The current Personal CareerWorth Assessment does not include peer benchmarking.

9. How We Share Information

CareerWorth does not sell users' personal information for money and does not sell users' career information.

Information may be processed by service providers that help CareerWorth operate its products and business. These providers may include payment processors, analytics providers, artificial-intelligence providers, website and application infrastructure providers, hosting services, and other technology vendors.

These providers may process information on CareerWorth's behalf or according to their own applicable terms and privacy policies.

CareerWorth may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law or legal process, respond to a lawful government request, investigate fraud or security concerns, protect CareerWorth or its users, or enforce applicable agreements.

If CareerWorth is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, information associated with the business may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

10. Cookies and Similar Technologies

CareerWorth and its service providers may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies to operate the website, maintain functionality, understand website and product usage, remember applicable preferences, measure performance, and improve CareerWorth.

The technologies used may change as CareerWorth evolves.

Your browser may provide controls that allow you to block or delete certain cookies or website data. Disabling certain technologies may affect the functionality or performance of CareerWorth.

Where applicable law requires consent or additional choices regarding certain cookies or tracking technologies, CareerWorth will seek to provide appropriate controls.

11. Data Retention

CareerWorth retains information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or processed, including providing CareerWorth services, maintaining appropriate transaction and business records, operating and improving CareerWorth, preventing fraud or abuse, resolving disputes, and satisfying applicable legal obligations.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the CareerWorth feature involved, and the applicable service provider.

When information is no longer reasonably necessary, CareerWorth may delete, aggregate, or de-identify it, subject to applicable legal, security, and operational requirements.

12. Data Security

CareerWorth uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information from unauthorized access, misuse, loss, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no internet transmission, website, software application, or electronic-storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. CareerWorth therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.

Users should also take reasonable precautions when deciding what information to provide through online services.

13. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, applicable privacy laws may provide certain rights regarding your personal information.

These rights may include, where applicable, the ability to request access to certain personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of certain information, or additional information regarding how personal information is processed.

CareerWorth may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests and may retain information where required or permitted by applicable law.

My CareerWorth account holders can review and correct profile information, manage the optional methodology-improvement permission, and initiate account deletion from account settings. Account deletion removes the personal profile, saved report files and associated profile history; limited transaction or security records may be retained where required or permitted by law.

14. Children's Privacy

CareerWorth is not directed to children under 13, and CareerWorth does not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children under 13.

If we learn that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected in a manner inconsistent with applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

15. Third-Party Websites and Services

CareerWorth may contain links to or interact with websites, applications, or services operated by third parties.

CareerWorth does not control and is not responsible for the privacy, security, content, or practices of independent third-party services. Users should review the privacy policies and terms applicable to those services when appropriate.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

CareerWorth may update this Privacy Policy as our products, technologies, business practices, or legal requirements evolve.

When changes are made, CareerWorth will update the effective date displayed at the top of this Privacy Policy. Where required by law or otherwise appropriate, CareerWorth may provide additional notice regarding material changes.
